How do you arrive at Iloranta?

Iloranta is located halfway between the cities of Lahti and Tampere, accessible via Highway 12. It’s about a 1.5 hour drive from Helsinki and half an hour from Hämeenlinna.

From Highway 12, take the turn-off onto Road 3223, Sappeentie, and drive for 3 km. Then, turn left onto Lehdesmäentie and immediately right onto Rukkoilantie. After a little over a kilometer, you’ll see the white main building of Iloranta on your left.

Turn into the driveway, park your car, and head to the white main building, where you can get information about your accommodation.

Public Transportation

You can reach Iloranta by public transportation. Take a train or bus to Hämeenlinna, and then continue on to Hauho by bus. The main transportation provider on this route is Pekolan Liikenne. From Tampere and Lahti, you can get to Hauho via express intercity buses like Expresspikavuoro and Onnibus. Those coming from the Helsinki metropolitan area can reach Hauho either via Lahti or Hämeenlinna – the Lahti route tends to have better connections on weekends. Once in Hauho, it’s an 8 km journey from the town center to Iloranta, which you can complete by taking a local taxi, for example.
